Full Day!

My crafty attempts today amounted to piecing together 1/8th of the Kilimanjaro Quilt. I am so pleased that it is beginning to come together. After all, the deadline is the end of May!

It doesn’t look like much but it has been a very full day!

Mum and I took the kids to Kingston Lacy in the morning where we had a lovely time exploring the gardens. We took some sandwiches with us and had a little picnic, under a little thatched shelter away from the rain.

The sewing happened briefly late in the afternoon before I had to get ready to go out.

Mum, sister and I went to the opening of Hairspray at the Mayflower theatre in Southampton. All I can say is: WOW! The voices were all amazing, the dancing was brilliant and we had a great time. I had the keep peering around the perm in front of me but it didn’t matter.

On the whole, a most excellent day! I feel rejuvenated.
